It’s Not Unusual – 50 years old today!

50 years ago, a 24 year old Welshman named Thomas Jones Woodward released one of our favourite songs, It’s Not Unusual. Despite releasing his most famous track over half a century ago, the silver fox is still at the top of the karaoke charts today. Check out these smooth clicks and side steps...

We thought we’d have a look at which other karaoke classics are reaching a big round milestone this week.

Happy 40th Birthday to Bye Bye Baby by The Bay City Rollers

Loved in Loved Actually, Bye Bye Baby was The Bay City Rollers’ first number one single but it wasn't originally their song. It was a cover of The Four Seasons song, which only peaked at number 12. Who knew?!

Happy 30th Birthday to Material Girl by Madonna

In the days when Madge was steadier on her feet, she was releasing karaoke hit after karaoke hit. So many of her 80's hits are sung up and down the land by you lot everyday. Super-cool producer Nile Rogers helped her out with this one and we love it.

Happy 20th Birthday to Back For Good by Take That

20 years ago?! Surely not… The poor boys look freezing in this video. Was Take That's no umbrella policy the secret reason for Robbie's dedeparture. Who’d have thought that they’d still be going 20 years on? We say long may it continue, even if there’s only Gary left!
