1) Wannabe – Spice Girls

If you grew up in the 90s without a massive Spice Girls poster adorning your bedroom wall, did you even really have a childhood? So here's the story from A to Z...

2) Respect – Aretha Franklin

Singer, songwriter, civil rights activist and all around legend, any of Aretha Franklin's songs are a joy to sing and Respect is as perfect today as it was over 50 years ago when it first graced the world's airwaves!

3) Stronger – Kelly Clarkson

Just a superb music video freeze frame above! Stronger is the ultimate break up anthem about getting knocked down and moving on – guaranteed to make you feel fierce and feisty.

4) Juice – Lizzo

Has there ever been a better line written than "I be drippin' so much sauce Got a b**** lookin' like RAGÚ"? Probably not, and this track from Lizzo is drippin' with just the right swagger for fun group renditions.

P.S. Truth hurts and Good As Hell are also 24 karat gold girls karaoke bangers!

5) Someone Like You – Adele

If you're after a fix of melancholy from your next karaoke session and fancy straining your vocal cords to their absolute limit, pretty much any of Adele's songs are a great choice, but Someone Like You is definitely the pick of the bunch.

6) Jolene – Dolly Parton

The fairy godmother of country music, Dolly Parton has been a bad ass mama jama for over 50 years and Jolene is just one of many songs that make for a fab karaoke performance – faux Southern accent 100% recommended.

7) Firework – Katy Perry

Believe us when we tell you from experience that after a few alcoholic beverages you will feel every single lyric of Firework on an unprecedented emotional level! Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin, like a house of cards, one blow from caving in? Yes we do Ms. Perry, yes we do!

8) Shake It Off – Taylor Swift

Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play, and the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, baby, I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, I shake it off, I shake it off!

9) Man I Feel Like A Woman – Shania Twain

Fun fact: Shania Twain wrote Man I Feel Like A Woman with then-husband Robert John "Mutt" Lange – excellent nickname!

10) No Scrubs – TLC

Fun fact number 2: Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs is one of the writers of No Scrubs – another excellent nickname! A brilliant anthem for anyone tired of deadbeats hitting on them.

Any song with a music video paying homage to Mean Girls is guaranteed to be a girls karaoke hit. On Wednesdays, we wear pink!

14) Baby One More Time – Britney Spears

The song that launched Britney Spears career is as much fun to sing along to today as it was when first released over 20 years ago. Anyone else feeling old?

15) Royals – Lorde

Lorde was only 16 when she released Royals, writing the lyrics in a half hour and recording the actual song during a school break. The result is an instant classic – who doesn't love a bit of Kiwi-alternative-electropop!

16) Poker Face – Lady Gaga

Poker Face was the worldwide best selling single of 2009 and it's easy to see why – that opening hook is electric!

A masterpiece from the OG Queen of Pop.

18) Say My Name – Destiny's Child

This R&B juggernaut of a tune won two Grammys an MTV Award and a Soul Train Lady of Soul Award back in 2001. Say my name, say my name, if no one is around you, say baby I love you...

19) Big Girls Don't Cry – Fergie

Look at dat booty! One of the lead singles from Fergie's break out solo album The Dutchess, Big Girls Don't Cry is a massive girl power anthem perfect for any occasion.
