The Voice UK 2016 - Live Finals!

Well well well, what a night it was! We started off having mini heart-palpitations at Paloma Faith's empty chair...only to be awash with relief when her cheeky little face appeared. Then we got shocked with Lydia Lucy's early elimination: don't worry Will, we felt as bewildered as you were. Her vocal range is sky high! It just goes to show how tough the competition is at this stage. After all, there can only be one winner. 

Viewers were greeted with solo performances, coach duets and then guest performances from Meghan Trainor and Shawn Mendes with his smash hit Stitches, plus the all important 'winner's single' performances all crammed into one show. Wow! Thank goodness they didn't try drag this out and make two shows out of it. We're naming no names *cough* X Factor. 

So, who won The Voice UK 2016? Kevin Simms of course. The loveable ex Liberty X popstar made his way into our hearts from his blind audition performance of Chandelier and there he has remained. His voice is transcendent, he can literally sing anything and his personality completes the package. We do love you Kevin. Whilst we were at a loss when Lydia left, Kevin's victory quickly turned our frowns upside down.
