A who's who of Taylor Swift's break up songs

When we heard that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have gone their separate ways, we were devastated. But now we've had time to digest such news, we've only got one question on our mind. Will she write a break-up song for Harris? If her past history is anything to go by, we're going to go with...yah.

Talking of past history, we thought now would be an ideal time to go through her previous killer hit break-up songs, and match them up to the correct ex-boyfriend muse. So, let's go.

"I've got a blank space, baby, and I'll write your name" BUT WHOSE, TAY-TAY? WHOOOSE?!

1.  Last Kiss / Forever And Always - Joe Jonas

It took a mere 27 seconds on the phone for Joe Jonas to split up with Taylor Swift, but at least 5 minutes for Swift to sing out her Last Kiss break-up blues over him.

2. Back To December - Taylor Lautner

Taylor was more into Taylor than Taylor was into...Taylor. So they split up. Got that? Anyway, Back to December was penned about Lautner, including this delightful lyric: 'you gave me roses and I left them there to die'. Bit harsh Tay-Tay.

3. Dear John - John Mayer

Sometimes, we have to guess via tricky lyrics as to who was the man behind the song. Funnily enough with this track it's pretty easy! Dear John Mayer. The girl in the dress cried the whole way home. You brute you.

4. The Last Time / We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together - Jake Gyllenhaal

It was only 4 months but it was pretty serious by all accounts, yet Jake broke up with Miss Swift over text. TEXT? But like, this is exhausting Jake. You two are never ever getting back together. Like...ever.

5. Begin Again - Connor Kennedy

Just a 3 month tryst, but long enough for Taylor to buy a house closer to Connor and give him his own break-up song after they finished.

6. Style / I Knew You Were Trouble - Harry Styles

The two most recent and most famous break-up hits were of course about that loveable rogue Harry Styles. Another short-lived relationship at just 4 months, Harry had a major impact on her...and her music. These two tracks are smash hits and will live on forever, even though Haylor didn't.
