How to throw the best Eurovision house party

This weekend is the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, and we're all crossing our fingers that, this year could see the UK take the winning slot (there's nothing wrong with a bit of wild optimism). If you want to see our entry ahead of the night, watch below:

Eurovision only comes along once a year, so it requires an epic house party to celebrate! If you've invited friends and family over but yet to sort actual party plans, then fear not we're here to help. Follow our easy and simple steps below to make it a night to remember.

1. Decorations

Decorating the gaff is a simple affair with one word in mind - flags, flags and flags (so good we said it three times). You can go crazy with bunting, paper plates, cups and table decorations. Just remember to stick to flags from European countries...otherwise your friends may judge your geography education.

2. Drinks & Nibbles

You can either stick to full on British food, such as fish 'n' chips and mini roast dinners, or, you can go all out and do each country's classic dish. Think tapas, crepes, cold meats and pickles...easy peasey with lemon squeezy on top of the antipasti.

3. Drinking Games

There are many drinking games designed for the Eurovision Song Contest - all you need to do is hit up Google. But you can have even more fun making up your own rules. Give a guest a country on arrival so they have to drink when their country performs...or perhaps take a swig every time the country gets a vote point. Or all agree to take a shot when a random dancer comes into the stage. Go wild.

4. After-show Entertainment

Eurovision 2016

After the show finishes, everyone will be in the singing spirit. What better way to carry on with the mood than our Lucky Voice Karaoke Kit!  You can create your own playlist with all of your favourite tracks - or get every guest to pick their signature tune and have your own mini singing competition at home!
