A tribute to Maurice White

Maurice White sadly passed away this week, and we want to pay tribute to the founder of Earth, Wind & Fire. The American band rose to fame in the late sixties and are deemed one of the most successful bands of the 20th century. With influence from all kinds of musical genres including jazz, pop and soul, the band have received 20 Grammy nominations and won six as a group, with Maurice winning individual awards. 

Maurice was the grandson of a New Orleans piano player and showed off musical gifts at an early age. He founded the band but also went on in his career to produce other artists and write songs as well as being an arranger and brandleader. He was a huge influence over the musical industry and it's with heavy hearts that we say farewell to the talented star.
